From November 2012 to November 2014, as lead publishing specialist for the Electronic Maintenance System publishing program, I developed & coordinated support plans to create, publish, distribute & manage interactive & paper equipment publications in XML. I directed changes & drove the program schedule for software developer and helpdesk teams for a publishing suite that produced and displayed $114 billion worth of technical and diagnostics data used by 225,000 users of 50,000 vehicles worldwide. I served as managing editor of the EMS Monthly Newsletter and strategic communications assistant for the public website and other communications duties. Below is a photo of the ruggedized laptop used to display the software and technical publications diagnostics and procedural data.

U.S. Army 1st Lt. William Jung, Joint Task Force-Bravo U.S. Southern Command Situational Assessment Team (SSAT) member, operates the Automated Route Reconnaissance Kit (ARRK) during a road reconnaissance performance exercise. The SSAT received training and performed practical exercises with the ARRK in preparation for future Central American disaster relief missions. It employs a ruggedized laptop computer to automatically and continuously collect road information and conditions to provide situational awareness and facilitate the decision-making process.
