English Lit after 1700 Modules

The following are modules I developed for my online course (ENG 3120 – English Literature after 1700) at Wayne State University Fall 2020 semester. They are provided as PDF printouts from the course LMS software (Canvas) to show how I introduced the class on the first day, and how I taught two section themes (Policing and Gendering Sex, and England in the World). Each week I provided one such themed module page in the LMS contianing illustrative images, required readings, video lectures, and group activities for students to complete and share within their “coteries”—small groups assigned to enact the eighteenth-century literary coterie experience and enhance student sense of community throughout the semester. To view how I described and instructed students to participate in literary coteries, see the week 1 module below and my ENG 3120 syllabus.
